Do we need to live in fear?
Everyone in society is supposed to live without the fear of being different. People should be able to be free and be proud of who they are. Our world has so much incredible diversity, and that is what makes this world a beautiful place.
The LGBTQIA+ community still faces inequity in society because some people still think that LGBTQIA+ are different. The LGBTQIA+ continue to fight for their rights and freedom. The question is, why must it be this way? Many LGBTQIA+ people are still suffering simply because of who they are. They don’t feel welcome in this world, which is horrible and absolutely not fair. As human beings, we all have the right to live in this world, no matter who we are or what we look like. Still there are laws and closed-minded people that do not support this fact. We have hope that our world will change and that we can make every community a safe and equal place for ALL.
For this pride month, Bai Tong Thai Street Café wants to be part of the community supporting LGBTQIA+ by serving a special drink for this pride month to celebrate and bolster LGBTQIA+ rights and equity. Love Over the Rainbow will bring pride to everyone. Remember! Accept who you are, and never give up! Happy pride month to you all!!
